YSBRYD BECA 6 JULY 1843 REBECCA ATTACK ON THE BOLGOED TOLLGATE - COMMEMORATIVE FEILD TRIP 6 JULY 2014 AGENDA and TIME TABLE.
General Agenda Time Table: 12: Noon - 1pm Dinner at the Black Horse Tafarn (if wished) followed by visits to the Rebecca Memorial in Pontarddulais regards the September 1843 Toll Gate Attack, on to Goppa Church - Grave of Daniel Lewis (bring a Red Carnation to place on the grave), Bolgoed Rebecca Memorial nr The Fountain Inn) , on to Gopa Hill and to conclude at The Fountain Inn to see their Rebecca Ephemera and if you wish partake in refreshments and a meal. NB: Organising such a Field Trip is fraught with problems as how may will come and what time they will arrive and if all will want to do the entire outing. So, I suggest let it be informal with families and groups adopting the above or their own time tables to suit. You will then each and all be well versed in the history of it all by reading the below. Have a good day and bring flags to rise up on Bryn Gopa Hill as this is where RWE plan to set up their Turbine Road Construction Command Post. Other than discussing the history associated with the above and the on coming Anti - RWE Road and Windfarm Campaign, also consider establishing an 'Ysbryd Beca' to focus patriotic campaigning against Wind Farms in the West 'Tiroedd Beca'.
